I learned how to make interactive slides with Google Slides. I also used this program to make my online portfolio slideshows. The problem is that it would have been way easier if Google was not shutting down Picasa. Screw you, Google.

Popbook: 2D images transformed into moving on a 3D Plane
I learned how to use 3D camera controls in AfterEffects, and its a pretty cool trick to learn. I learned about manipulating objects within a 3D plane and that's pretty cool.
In any case, I'm glad this class is almost over.

Four pages of wordpress
I learned how to install Wordpress on my DotEasy hosted site. Besides that I had a part-time job running a wordpress site and so I pretty much knew how to run a content management system backwards and forwards. So that's neat.

Zoetrope
Zoetropes are kinda cool. This was a pain in the ass to make. Very finicky, and I probably should have used less frames for the animation, cuz I feel the slats are too wide. All in all it took multiple hours to get something I don't like that much, but now I know how to do it.
I made the assets in illustrator, edited it in AfterEffects, then published it via Premiere. Moseltov.
Who wants to play cards?
Vector Shapes do animation stuff
Not a huge fan of this assignment. Just threw in some effects, played around with them in Adobe Aftereffects, finished the whole thing off in Premiere Pro, the whole thing was a dull couple hours.
I learned where a couple of the vector animation settings were in After Effects

I drew some wiggly lines in the shape of my favorite alien robot
Anybody love Iron Giant?
I love Iron Giant. Iron is the best. Animation is the best.
In any case, I used my Intuos Wacom tablet. This was probably one of the longest time's I'ves spent on one composition. It would look much better with some of the fills I made, but thats against the assignment rules so OH WELL.
In any case, this was an Illustrator job. I made the paths, then micro-managed the width profiles of each line. It was a massive process of trial and error. But I love it, because I love Iron Giant. I got much more practiced with my pad.
Screw the haters.

SLAM That's me hitting you with design.
Keeping it one hundred, I didn't learn that much this time.
I've designed almost one hundred different pages for newspapers, magazine and pamphlets, so this wasn't super edifying for me. I did play around with 60s style background pattern, so that was fun. I used Illustrator for the background, InDesign for the main cover, and I packaged it all with my fancy font I created in the previous assignment. To be honest, Brian, the whole part about having a separate motif but calling it a folio in the assignment description was really confusing. Boo. But I love ya so it's cool.
Man am I feeling the senioritis.

Jquery is a ball, yo
I've now made two Jquery galleries in my life
This is a text post because the assignment was to make a jquery page in dreamweaver, and Dreamweaver is being a butt and won't connect to Brian's server, but I have to talk about what I learned. I learned that there are many open-source gallery options out there, and now that I have an understanding of HTML and CSS, I am free to use and customize them all! I used Adobe Dreamweaver and my brain to accomplish it.
I made a Twilight Zone riff!
I made another thing!
This was another fun assignment. I felt like I really have a handle on Adobe Aftereffects now. A couple of the comps I used have comps within that comp, and it even goes deeper than that. Comps within comps within comps within comps. I learned that you can make realistic visuals without any video footage. I used Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and Premiere Pro. And Twilight Zone rules.

I'm not the best student
What SHOULD have happened is that I got my vinyl sheets and cut out this design, and made it into a sticker. But what I didn't realize is that I needed the lab, which was occupied all morning, and that I needed to get my vinyls ahead of time, which I didn't. Here's what it would have looked like, though.
Since I didn't really do the assignment, I didn't learn that much. But aliens are cool.

I'm known to make fonts
This was a fun assignment. I took Myanmmar and cut holes out of it. I learned how to use FontCreator4 and I kind of hate the program, but oh well.
Once in a while, I'm known to make logos
Rimrock Manufacturing asked my class to make two logos, one fishing themed and one outdoor-sports themed. I whipped these up, and I actually enjoyed the process. I like logo work because usually less is more, and I have a tendency to overthink my work. So this assignment helps me just focus on simplicity.

Assignment 1 for this ruddy class
- What were you trying to accomplish?
Animate some Photoshop brushes and make something cute, and up to the assignment. Brushes come in at different times and are animated. - What technical skills did you use to create the project?
I used my knowledge of Adobe AfterEffects and Photoshop and Premiere Pro in order to make this composition
- How do you feel you did on the project?
I hate the majority of my work, I wish I had used more types of brushes, and I wish I had optimized the butterflies more for animation. It's okay, though.
